wake up from the dream / Brahma - in the dark both literally & figuratively / representing the lineage / how to distill one’s motive? / two factors in spiritual progress - our endeavor & grace / the cats and the monkeys / karmic motive (worldly enjoyment) - jnanic motive (escaping from worldly suffering) - bhakti motive (pure devotion) / it’s not sectarian - karma, jnana & bhakti are found throughout the world’s spiritual traditions
